Camper and parent quotes from 2021

We would love to hear from you about how Camp Men-O-Lan has impacted your life:

    What Campers Say:
I had a really nice time! The staff/counselors are very sweet, open, loving, and fun. They wanted to get to know my name, and they care about everyone. I felt close to the girls in my cabin, as well as my counselors and everyone at Camp. Thank you for a great week! (Resident Camper)
Counselors were amazing this summer. It was an amazing year. (Day Camper)
On Thursday night at campfire I felt really moved and closer to God on a whole new level that I've never felt before. I really enjoyed Camp and all of the great experiences that I had here. (Resident Camper)
This is the best camp ever, rate: 1 gazillion. (Day Camper)
This week has opened my eyes to the fact that I belong to Christ and has taught me how to better read the Bible. I have felt God personally touch my heart and bring me to my knees crying of joy. (Resident Camper)
10/10 camp, worthy of MFC: "Most Fun Camp!" (Day Camper)
    What Parents Say:
Camp was a great experience for our daughter. She had a great time with friends while learning more about God. The counselors were fun, helpful and a great role model for her. She wants to return next year. (Resident Camp Parent)
Our daughter’s 2 years at Men-O-Lan were wonderful 'faith filled' experiences that I know prepared her well for her future and we hope to possibly get back again next summer or for another event. (Resident Camp Parent)
It was a great first time camp experience for my kids. They loved it and loved all the different levels of activities during the day. (Day Camp Parent)
Camp Men-O-Lan supports our family values and provides a safe learning environment for our kids to grow and learn from others about the Bible and God's love. (Resident Camp Parent)
My son has always loved Men-O-Lan and we look forward to him trying Resident Camp next year! (Day Camp Parent)
My child loves camp, he always has fun, spends time outside, makes new friends and Camp encourages independence. (Day Camp Parent)
"As a Men-O-Lan family of 4 years, we can't say enough about how awesome our experience has been with the staff, facilities and spiritual enrichment that make this our girls' favorite part of their summer.  The practical integration of Christian principles into everyday childhood living is evident in the way our girls talk about the bonds they are forming with the camp counselors and their fellow campers. When we drop our girls off for camp at Man-O-Lan, we pull away knowing they are in the care of staff who loves God and others and bring that attitude with them to work every day! (Resident Parents)
My 12-year-old son has been attending summer camps and retreats at Camp Men-O-Lan for well over five years, and he looks forward to it each time. He loves the different programs, his friends that return every year and the camp counselors that really build up his self-esteem while incorporating Christian values. I love the camp because I know when I drop him off and go to work he is in a safe, well structured program that teaches him Christian values while having fun with his peers. I highly recommend Camp Men-O-Lan to everyone interested in finding a great summer camp. Guest Group Comments:
"I am very grateful for the service and attention the camp staff provided for our group. The presence and peace of the Lord was felt at camp, and we are truly grateful for keeping your ministry centered on God, seeking His presence and not lowering your standards of holiness." - Guest Group Coordinator
“This year's theme for our annual retreat was "Who Am I?". Our theme verse was Colossians 1:27, "To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”. Our focus was on Christ in us and us in Christ. We "went back to the basics", if you will, of Christianity, focusing on what it truly means to be a believer in Jesus. Many students, and leaders, were encouraged according to His Word. Genuineness permeated throughout the group as as whole, emphasizing the need of transparency like Jesus. Thank you Camp Men-O-Lan staff for once again permitting us to use your facility! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication in service to our King! ” - Church of the Open Door
